Agenda Barcelona

The 42nd Barcelona Festival of Fantastic Genres will take place from 4 to 8 November at the Fabra i Coats venue.

This year, the festival sets out to explore the fears of the present, possible futures and the ability of fiction to question reality. It will bring together authors from around the world for 71 activities, including two exhibitions, a literary walking tour, workshops and live performances, with the involvement of more than 160 participants.

The sixth edition will address issues such as artificial intelligence, the construction of imaginary worlds, environmental collapse and the relationship between art, politics and power. The programme explores how science fiction, fantasy and horror can help us interpret the social and technological changes taking place today, imagine different ways of life and question the futures we are building.
