Popular festivals. There'll be all sorts of activities for young and old alike: community gatherings and activities, workshops, traditional games and competitions, groups performing traditional Catalan folk dances, sea shanties, puppet show, a parade of giants, a fire run and dance nights.
The 436 Festes de Sant Roc, the Cathedral neighbourhood’s big annual festival and the
the oldest celebration in the city of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, will be taking place from 12 to 16 August.
You’ll be able to enjoy all the traditional events and activities: En Cu-cut dalt del ruc, the Panellets, the Porró Llarg, the Cucanya, the Globus del Capità Munyon, the Tronada, the Sant Roc procession and all the ‘Renewal of the Vow’ ceremonies in Sant Roc.
A new feature this year will be the El Ball del Tano i el Beco.
