Cinema. This year’s festival is an invitation to embrace the dualities and contradictions of youth.

The eighth edition of the Barcelona Young People’s Audiovisual Festival, Reteena is being held at the Filmoteca de Catalunya, the CCCB, the Nau Bostik and the Zumzeig cinema, reaffirming its role as an open, critical and participatory space for new generations.

This year’s programme includes notable works such as Lesbian Space Princess, La misteriosa mirada del flamenco, Pillion and La chica zurda, plus a section devoted to new national talent with Downriver a Tiger, by Víctor Diago.

The event also includes international and emerging short films, all selected by the Reteena team, a group of young people curating the festival.

Besides cinema, the Nau Bostik will be hosting talks, music and performances with Junior Healy, Habitació 910 and the classic Bingo Cinèfil, in a closing act full of humour and glitter.
