Traditional festivals. Pilgrims from Sant Medir festival groups from all over Barcelona will make their way around La Bordeta throwing sweets to onlookers.
The procession around the streets in the neighbourhood of La Bordeta is on Sunday, 9 March, taking in the streets around the Sant Medir parish church. The parade will be headed by the festival group from the same church and by the City Police Mounted Unit.
As from 10.30 am, sweets will be thrown to onlookers in streets and squares, where people often offer gifts of biscuits and wine to sweeten the journey.
Route: Constitució, Gavà, Alpens, Guadiana, Sants, Gayarre, Gavà, Constitució, Toledo, Manzanares, Andalusia, Riera de Tena, Constitució, Viladecans, Corral, Mn. Amadeu Oller.
When the procession ends, around 12 noon, mass will be held in honour of the patron saint and the participating festival groups will be given a commemorative ribbon.
