The Carassa de Barcelona [‘Barcelona Big Face’] really comes into its own during the Christmas festivities, above all at the Santa Llúcia Fair.
On Saturdays and Sundays the figure walks between the stalls of the fair and strolls through the streets and squares around the Cathedral, through the Gothic Quarter, throwing sweets to the children who are waiting for it.
Every day it goes out, it is accompanied by a different group from Ciutat Vella, who makes it dance to the sound of grallas and drums.
