‘Francesca da Rimini’, by Tchaikovsky

Traductor de Google:

Classical music. The symphonic poem by Tchaikovsky conveys desire but also the fatality of destiny.

The concert will open with a short piece by renowned composer David Maslanka entitled Mother Earth. And this is not the only piece with references to nature, as it will be followed by Ecstatic Waters, by Steven Bryant. Generously nuanced and subtle in many passages, the piece effectively evokes the liquid element through the brass and percussion sections.

Even more contemporary is the debut of the piece that L'Auditori commissioned to David Moliner, a young composer and percussionist who plays both classical and contemporary music, and who, among other awards, received the Roche Young Commissions Award at the Lucerne Festival.

The concert will conclude with the symphonic poem composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, a symphonic interpretation of the fifth canto of the Divine Comedy in which Dante tells through verse the tragic tale of real-life lovers Francesca da Rimini and Paolo Malatesta.

Programa
