'Compañía Nacho Duato'

Traductor de Google:

Dance. The most iconic choreographies from Nacho Duato.

A fundamental part of the company’s mission is to safeguard the art and choreographic heritage of Nacho Duato, and to enrich the dance offering in Spain and extend work opportunities for young dancers.

In this show, you’ll have the chance to enjoy:

  • Duende: Inspired by the music of Debussy, this piece undertakes an almost sculptural exploration of movement, connecting the body with nature and playing with the multiple meanings of the word “duende” (it literally means elf or fairy, but it can also mean rascal, a naughty child), from the charming character to the magical world of elves and goblins.
  • Cantus: A new piece that tackles the horrors of war from the perspective of young people caught up in conflicts, with emotive music by Karl Jenkins.
  • Gnawa: A choreography that delves into the Mediterranean roots of the choreographer. With Spanish and North African sounds, it conveys spirituality and sensuality through an elegant, rhythm-packed dance.
  • Liberté: This pas de deux is inspired by the songs of enslaved Haitians, entwined with Voodoo. It is a powerful call for human rights through the expressive force of music and dance.
