‘...All those things inside the things we call things hidden in...’

Dance. This dance, that appears and disappears, is at the heart of the new piece choreographed by Jesús Rubio Gamo.

Synopsis

There are things about the act of dancing that not even the dancer knows what they are. They happen for a second and then are lost again in movement. They emerge, blossom, take shape, are on the verge of being, of signifying, of becoming readable. When the dancer believes they are already feeling it, when the person watching the dance is about to feel it too, the dance continues and liquefies, continuing to push us all toward what is unknown, toward what cannot be named in the way we are accustomed to naming. That is the kind of dance that interests Jesús Rubio Gamo, a dance that constantly moves at the edge of meaning. A dance that allows us to inhabit the places where meaning appears for a few moments only to suddenly vanish shortly after, eluding us.
