The 2024 edition of the European Prize for Urban Public Space will dedicate a special mention to the best waterfront restoration project in Europe in recent years. This will also be mentioned in the call for entries, and the jury, partner institutions and panels of experts will give special consideration to projects of this kind.

To evaluate this specific category of projects, the 2024 jury is chaired by architect and urban planner Beth Galí, who has a long track record in projects of this type. Furthermore, the jury also includes Professor Francesco Musco, Professor of Urban Planning and Sustainability at the University of Venice and one of the continent's leading experts on the specific challenges of maritime cities, as an additional member.
