La Pedrera is hosting the exhibition Sean Scully. L'última pintura, a retrospective exhibition that explores the work of the Irish artist, recognised for his influence on contemporary art.

Scully, known for his large-scale abstract paintings, comprised of blocks of colour and geometrical forms, transforms the walls of La Pedrera into a gallery that captures emotion through abstraction.

The exhibition charts the career of the artist from his early works to his most recent pieces, in which his evolution and constant investigations into colour and shape can be clearly seen. Sean Scully is one of the most important voices in contemporary abstract art, and this exhibition reveals his deep connection with nature, emotions and space.
