The songs of the majorales or pabordesses of the Roser brotherhood accompanied by panderos or square drums were present in many towns in Catalonia. The drum, completely painted with sacred images and decorated with ribbons and bells, is the most significant and spectacular object that remains from that activity. The Music Museum is devoting an exhibition space to this tradition, and it is offering three free guided tours dovetailing with La Mercè festivities and with its open day on 24 September.
