On Sunday 4 May, Barcelona will be hosting the first stage of the third edition of La Vuelta Femenina, a competition that will see the world's top female cyclists competing against each other, which will come to an end on 10 May in Asturias.

Day one of the event will be a short, high octane 8 km team time trial, which will take in some of the city's most iconic tourist attractions. The start and finish line will be on Passeig de Gràcia, in front of La Pedrera, and the turning point will be in the gardens of the Palau de Pedralbes, right on Av. Diagonal.

The stages in La Vuelta Femenina:

  • Sunday 4 May, stage 1: Barcelona > Barcelona (8 km team time trial)
  • Monday 5 May, stage 2: Molins de Rei > Sant Boi de Llobregat (99 km)
  • Tuesday 6 May, stage 3: Barbastre > Osca (132 km)
  • Sunday 7 May, stage 4: Pedrola > Borja (111 km)
  • Thursday 8 May, stage 5: Golmayo > Lagunas de Neila (120 km)
  • Friday 9 May, stage 6: Becerril de Campos > Baltanás (126 km)
  • Saturday 10 May, stage 7: La Robla > Cotobello. Asturias (152 km)
