From big gorillas to the tiny mouse lemur, there’s a world of primates.

‘Monkeys! A Primate Story’ presents sixty spectacular specimens in natural settings created by experts from National Museums Scotland, with numerous interactives, models and photos.

Visitors will be able to find out how different primates move and communicate, how they’ve developed tools to get food and the complex social systems they have.

The exhibition also examines the relationship between humans and primates, including the threats of extinction, habitat loss and hunting.

There are now more than 7 billion human beings in the world and our activity is posing an ever-increasing risk of extinction to most of our nearest relatives. Let’s act together to save them before it’s too late!
