Bed and Breakfast is a musical about the life of a group of young urbanites and the balancing act they have to perform to stop the complicated world of relationships from breaking up their circle of friendship.
This is the opera prima of Laia Font, a young author who found the lyrics of the songs by Els Amics de les Arts spoke exactly about what she was trying to express: the contradiction and complications of relationships in and unstable and changing world.
The author steers clear of big events and marginality to give a voice to the beauty of everyday life and the toughness of daily strains. Besides the music of the Barcelona group, she also has the young members of the Epidèmia Teatre company to help her achieve this.

En Jordi i la Patrícia tenen una relació oberta, en Joan li és infidel a la Sofia, i la Marta i en Pol són amics. Només amics. Quan les trajectòries d'aquestes tres parelles es troben, esclata un temporal de tensions, recels i desigs entrecreuats.
És evident que no estan fets l'un per l'altre, però volen estar junts. Hauran de canviar les normes, inventar nous jocs, confeccionar relacions fetes a mida. La pregunta és: sabran adaptar-s'hi? Els permetran, aquests nous paràmetres, fer que el grup d'amics duri per sempre?
Al cap i a la fi, a la ciutat, la gent s'estima de forma intermitent.
