Unicredit Youth America’s Cup

Sailing. The competition brings together the best young sailors in the world aged 18 to 25.

The Unicredit Youth America’s Cup will be taking place from 17 to 26 September.

Twelve teams will be participating in the event, six invited by the organisers and six defender and challenger teams from the Louis Vuitton 37th America's Cup. In addition to Sail Team BCN from Spain, there will be teams from the Netherlands, Canada, Germany, Switzerland and Australia.

Each group will compete in eight fleet races, with a total of six boats in the water. The top three from each group will go through to the semi-final of the Unicredit Youth America's Cup, scheduled for 22 September.

In the final on 26 September, the format will change to match race(one-on-one).

Match Race Final

La flota de dotze equips es divideix entre els equips convidats i els equips de la Louis Vuitton 37a America's Cup. Les sèries de classificació consten d'un total de vuit proves per a tots dos grups. Els tres millors equips de cada grup passaran a una sèrie final de quatre proves per decidir els dos millors equips que s’enfrontaran en un Match Race final en el qual el guanyador s’endurà el trofeu. Les proves comencen a les 14:00 CEST els dies de regata (els horaris poden variar lleugerament els dies que coincideixin amb les regates de la Louis Vuitton Cup), i s’allarguen fins a les 16:00 o 17:00 hores, depenent de l'horari de les proves.
