Theatre. A woman, a mother and her daughter. A portrait of whole life under the big city lights.

Synopsis

The city is alive. Joni Mitchell sings, friends and lovers come and go, the regulars at the usual bar change. As the years go by, a woman’s life is revealed in all its complexity, mystery and possibility in this passionate text on mothers and daughters, beginnings and ends in the city of New York.

Morning Sun presents three women, three lives that develop with their joys, miseries, triumphs and failures.

Through the passing of time, the piece portrays how life is transformed between relationships, friendships and daily routines, while a growing sensation of invisibility comes with age. An intimate and realistic narrative on mothers and daughters, on beginnings and end, and how one’s vision of others and of oneself changes. Three generations of women and a life shaped by the passing of time and the city.
