Each beehive in this multisensory installation is utterly unique. Take a peek and marvel at the bees hard at work... or perhaps mid-car race. Each hive hides a different, unexpected world: some launch you into outer space, while others take you back in time to meet the bees of Ancient Rome. Some use digital technology, while others rely on traditional media. Come walk through this honey-scented bee colony and interact with the elements and the company’s members. You might breathe in smoke, or encounter a so-called bee expert who’ll tell you fascinating – but not necessarily true – facts about the lives of these insects. Do you dare stick your eye in the hole? Will you get stung by a bee? Dare to try it! This time, it’s worth it.

The installation Bees! The Colony  will offer a tactile route for people with poor eyesight or blindness on Saturday 27 September at 11 am. The maximum capacity is ten people. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with no prior bookings accepted.
