Formed in 2012, they have been a cornerstone of the Spanish-language punk scene from the outset, with a discography that includes Centro dramático nacional (2014), Sentido del espectáculo (2017), Gran pantalla (2020), Bremen no existe (2022) and ¡Ahora! (2024). Biznaga are at the forefront of a generation that has fought to bring punk to a wider audience. They’ve done so through melody, message and attitude – elements that have helped transform punk into a form of protest song for our time. “El entusiasmo”, the unflinching portrait of youth in “Lorazepam y plataformas” and “La gran renuncia” are just some of the tracks from this scathing new album – true to form – a kind of new chronicle of collapse that exposes the failures of the system we live in, while also offering glimpses of hope, flashes of humour and moments of redemptive feeling.
