Unusual visions of Franz Kafka ( Die Herrlichkeit des Lebens) and the Empress Sissi ( Sisi und ich), an infamous Nazi conference ( Die Wannseekonferenz), an escape from the former East Germany via the Baltic Sea ( Jenseits der blauen Grenze), a thriller as mysterious as quantic mechanics ( Die Theorie von Allem) and a first comedy packed with imagination ( Franky Five Star) are the starting points for six full-length works of fiction being screened in this cycle at the Filmoteca de Catalunya.

The programme is completed with four documentaries that often search for a connection between the past and the present, such as the legacy of the famous dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch ( Dancing Pina), the denouncement of a historical colonial injustice ( Das leere Grab), the evacuation of people from Ukraine during the war ( White Angel) and global pollution from plastic ( Plastic Fantastic).
