‘Classical music at the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts’ series

All the magic of classical music comes to the Royal Catalan Academy of Fine Arts of Sant Jordi every Tuesday.

The Association for the Promotion of Classical Music (AMFC in Catalan) organises this series to promote chamber music concerts and present outstanding groups and orchestras in an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.

Programme:

  • 7 May: Polish music with Urszula Bardlowska (soprano) and Agnieszka Scholz (piano)
  • 14 May: To the rhythm of Jazz with Pablo Frías (alto sax), Antoni Casellas (piano), Xavi Veres (double bass) and Alberto Solé (drums).
  • 21 May: To the rhythm of Jazz with Alba Ruiz (alto sax), Ángela Guerrero (piano), Ramon Soriano (electric guitar), Carles Camps (electric bass) and Enric Puigventós (drums).
  • 28 May: Three great composers on horseback between the 19th and 20th centuries with Mar Gimferrer (violoncello) and Richard Octaviano Kogima (piano)
  • 4 June: Two metal instruments with Anton Serra (Western concert flute) and Lluís Romo (French horn)
  • 11 June: Singing, violin and piano recital with Barbara Wincor (violin and vocals) and Maria Pascual Álvarez (piano and vocals).
  • 18 June: Bach Cantata’s Aria with Marisa Martins (mezzo-soprano, Anton Serra (Western concert flute), Clàudia Palacios (Western concert flute) and Raquel Portales (harpsichord).
  • 25 June: Compositions from Argentina, France and Catalonia with Julián Manjarrés (oboe) and Nives Rački (harp)
  • 2 July: Essences with Andrea Peirón (violoncello) and DUO RUBIO FRANCH: Maite Rubio (guitar) and Miriam Franch (guitar)
  • 9 July: Mozart with Anton Serra (flute), Maria Gibert (harp) and Josep Maria Sauret (conductor)
  • 16 July: Impressions with Josep Suquet (piano), Ot Granados (Double bass), Rubén Bueno (drums)
  • 23 July: Ancestral sounds with sacred instruments with Jan Omedes (violin) and Erik Omedes (piano)
