Catalan Film Club Week

Cinema. The programme aims to show the character of the film club movement as a living space for thought, dialogue and community, a place to get together and get closer to Catalan and international film clubs.

The 13th edition of Catalan Film Club Week is being held at the Filmoteca de Catalunya from 6 to 11 October.

The Catalan Film Club Federation is offering an event that goes beyond the screening of films, with presentations, discussions and guests such as the French director Eugène Green, who will be receiving this year’s international Nunes Award.

The cycle starts on Tuesday 6 October with the advance première of Green’s A árvore do Conhecimento. His tenth full-length film is a playful piece set in Portugal and is somewhere between fantasy comedy and political satire. Following the session the vice-chair of the FCC and film critic Mireia Iniesta will be conducting a film forum with the participation of the director and the audience.
