Symphonic. With Peter Moore and Pascual-Vilaplana.

On Sunday 18 January, L'Auditori in Barcelona will be hosting this concert by the Municipal Band which explores humankind's most intimate desires, from amorous passion to Gothic horror.

The evening will open with an evocative piece by Erika Svanoe that brings together the figure of Mary Shelley and her creation, Frankenstein, in a modern tango. The guest soloist, the prestigious trombonist Peter Moore, will perform a work by Gunter Schuller that will put the versatility of the instrument to the test.

The highlight of the concert will be a selection from the famous ballet Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev. This adaptation for symphonic band offers us the chance to relive the tragedy of the lovers from Verona with all its emotional charge, from the tenderness of the balcony scene to the martial nature of the family feud.
