Flamenco Dance. Seville-Barcelona-Viena

As a prelude to this performance, Marco de Ana will present a dance colloquium entitled Fireflies (Luciérnagas) on September 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Club del Disco, 62 Casp Street.

You might think this is a dance workshop, but it will in fact turn into something else entirely: a collective protest, a demonstration in motion... The idea is simple and open to everyone: all you need is a pair of feet and a simple choreography to express your workplace demands, everyday protests or political views in a different way. Because flamenco, like politics, is a complex art form.

And with Poder de protesta, that complexity reaches the dance floor to the rhythm of verdiales (flamenco palo -kind of style-). In this artistic project, created in collaboration with Professional Dance Conservatory of the Institut del Teatre, nobody will ask you to vote... but they will ask you to jump and rediscover the rhythm as you push back against the pressures of work, the digital world, and, why not, the great forces of the global economy.
