This music and performing arts centre in El Raval uses the arts as a tool for social transformation, involving the local community in artistic projects. Everyone has a place, and everyone matters in the centre’s collaborative processes. This evening will feature Xamfrà bands on drums, keyboards, bass, wind instruments, percussion and vocals, as well as a contemporary music band that emerged from the Neighbourhood Plan’s Educart project. Xamfrà also works with young people in schools and other settings across the Zona Nord, encouraging them to make music like the pieces that will be performed at this concert.
