In 1860, some 175 years ago, the first choir, the Cor Euterpe, was created in Barcelona. And the Cors de Clavé Federation, of which the Cor Euterpe is a member, is celebrating the occasion with music as part of the La Mercè festivities. 

In fact, the first association to coordinate the work of the choirs was called the Associació Euterpense, alluding to the first organisation founded by Clavé in the mid 19th century. 

Celebrating the anniversary in Plaça de Sant Jaume will be the Societats Claverianes Barcelonines and the Clavé Symphony Orchestra. They will be performing versions of popular pieces, including some pop music. All this at an event that paying homage to the couplet and will be presented by TV presenter Brigitte Lamour. The Cors de Clavé... As you have never heard them before.
