‘Barcelona 2035. A city to live in’

Architecture. Coinciding with the city’s role as the World Capital of Architecture, the exhibition presents the major transformations under way in Barcelona with a view to 2035.

Barcelona 2035. A city to live in explains the main challenges facing the city in the coming decade and what urban transformations are under way to build a more liveable, connected and resilient Barcelona, improving everybody’s quality of life.

These are major projects that work has already started on and which will be a reality in 2035.

At the same time, the exhibition responds to questions of great public interest: Where is the most housing being generated? Where are new quality jobs being created? How is mobility improving? How are neighbourhoods being adapted to help people put down roots and strengthen their identities?
