‘Charlotte Perriand. Free to Rethink the World’

Traductor de Google:

Design and architecture. The exhibition highlights the radical modernity of her work and explores her friendship and intellectual affinity with Josep Lluís Sert.

The Joan Miró Foundation presents the first exhibition in Spain dedicated to Charlotte Perriand (Paris, 1903-1999), one of the most influential designers of the twentieth century and a key figure in the development of modern design.

Perriand is therefore a key figure. She was one of the few women to join the great temple of modern architecture and urban planning, the Atelier Le Corbusier, not as a silent assistant but as a creator in her own right, with a distinct voice capable of transforming the logic of modern design.

The exhibition spans four decades of creative work, presented in ten sections, and features landmark projects such as Salle à manger 28, the La Grande Misère de Paris exhibition and bookshelves for student residences in Paris, alongside photographs, documents and archival material.
