Architecture. Printed entirely in 3D, the scale model is an interactive platform that allows users to analyse and explain the Barcelona of the past, present and future.

Barcelona again has a scale model of the whole city and its metropolitan area. The 84-square-metre model in 1,204 pieces was created with digital printing and represents the whole area from the old Llobregat river mouth to the new port of Badalona.

The Barcelona Plain 2026–2035 scale model has been unveiled as an educational urban analysis tool at the service of people. Built on a scale of 1/1,500, the area represented corresponds to the central part of the Barcelona metropolitan area, known as the Barcelona Plain, delimited by the Collserola mountains to the north, the inner course of the Besòs river to the east, the Llobregat river and its delta to the west, and the Mediterranean to the south, with a total of 14 kilometres of coast.

The model includes all of the municipalities of Barcelona, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat and Sant Adrià de Besòs, along with parts of Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Badalona, Montcada i Reixac, Cerdanyola del Vallès, Sant Cugat del Vallès, Molins de Rei, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Sant Just Desvern, Sant Joan Despí, Cornellà de Llobregat and El Prat de Llobregat.
