'Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí (1891–1981). Lessons in Landscape'

Architecture. The exhibition invites visitors to discover the work and ideas of Rubió i Tudurí, a pivotal architect and landscape designer in the recent transformation of Barcelona.

The Palace of the Marquis of Alfarràs is hosting the exhibition Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí (1891-1981). Lessons in Landscape, a contemporary approach to a legacy that continues to address today's major urban challenges, particularly those linked to climate change, green infrastructure, the quality of public space and the coexistence of city and nature.

The exhibition is structured around six "lessons in landscape", each introduced by a quote from Rubió i Tudurí’s writings. These reflections serve as the unifying thread of a journey that allows visitors to understand his approach to urban planning, gardens and the landscape through a multidisciplinary, critical and deeply innovative lens.
