‘Ramón Masats. The silent photographer’

Traductor de Google:

Photography. A broad display of more than 140 photographs from Masats’ first period of creation as a photographer, from his beginnings in 1953 through to 1965.

Ramón Masats is the most influential photographer of Spain's sixties generation, a reputation he earned through his instinctive approach to composition, the radicalism and irony with which he confronted post-war cultural clichés and his temperamental conviction to photograph with complete freedom.

The display covers the first period of the photographer’s career, from his beginnings in 1953 until 1965, when he gave up photography for more than a decade to focus on film and television. This section includes, for the first time, the 15 exquisite vintage prints that the artist grouped from his first photographic challenge: the series on ‘Les Rambles’.

Also featured are photographs from his seminal books: Neutral Corner, his masterpiece with texts by Ignacio Aldecoa, and Sanfermines.

Una àmplia mostra de més de 140 fotografies, que abasta el primer període de creació del fotògraf, des dels seus inicis el 1953 fins al 1965.
